Clear answers, transparent pricing.

We provide neuropsychological and diagnostic evaluations for children (ages 6+) and adults. Our pricing is based on the scope of the question we're answering, not the diagnosis. Starting fees are listed below, and your exact, all-inclusive fee is confirmed in writing after your intake appointment.

Note: If you are using Aetna, Baylor Scott & White Healthplan, Medicare, or UnitedHealthcare, you're in-network. Book your intake directly with your insurance information. No despite is required, and you pay only your plan's copay, coinsurance, and deductible. Everything below describes our private-pay evaluations.

How Pricing Works

Book your Intake online

Choose an intake time that works for you. A $300 deposit reserves your appointment and is applied to your total. If your evaluation is connected to legal, guardianship, or disability matter, please contact our office instead of booking online.

Complete brief intake paperwork

Your answers about what you're hoping to learn let us send you an initial written estimate before your appointment, so you know what to expect.

Approve your exact fee

After intake, the doctor reviews your history in depth and determines exactly what testing, interviews, and records your question requires. You then receive on itemized, all-inclusive fee in writing (your Good Faith Estimate). No testing is scheduled until you've seen and approved it.

Price tiers

Diagnostic Consultation - $500. A focused two-hour interview with verbal impressions shared at the end of your session. No written report or testing. This is best for a quick professional opinion. It is not suitable for school, employer, accommodation, or legal documentation.

Diagnostic Interview Evaluation - starting at $875. For adults seeking answers about ADHD, autism, or other psychiatric concerns. Includes an In-depth diagnostic interview, developmental history, collateral input, validated rating scales, and a diagnostic report. No standardized cognitive testing is included.

Focused Evaluation - starting at $1250. One clear diagnostic question with targeted testing: child ADHD or autism evaluations, adult ADHD or autism evaluations with included cognitive testing, or memory/dementia concerns. Includes 2-3 hours of standardized cognitive testing and a detailed report.

Comprehensive Evaluation - starting at $2100. Complex or combined questions, including combined ADHD-and-autism evaluations, general neuropsychological evaluations, or learning disability evaluations. Includes 4-6 hours of standardized cognitive testing.

What moves a fee above its starting point: additional testing hours, structured autism measures, extra collateral interviews, extensive records, or an upgraded integrated report. Testing is administered by our psychometrist under the doctor's supervision, which keeps testing hours affordable while your evaluation, interpretation, and report remain with the doctor.

Legal, capacity, & disability evaluations are quated individually under a written fee agreement and billed hourly with a retainer. Please do not book these online - contact our office for a fee agreement.

Insurance & payment

We are in-network with Aetna, Baylor Scott & White Healthplan, Medicare, and UnitedHealthcare. Evaluations under these plans are billed to your insurance, and you pay only your plan's copay, coinsurance, and deductible.

In-network patients pay no deposit - your plan's cost-share is collected per your benefits. For all other plans (including Blue Cross Blue Shield) and for patients without insurance, our private-pay fees above apply. On request, we provide you a superbill you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. HSA and FSA funds may be used for evaluations.

For private-pay evaluations only, a $300 deposit reserves your intake and is applied to your total. Every self-pay patient receives a written Good Faith Estimate before services begin, as required by federal law.

Make care affordable: We offer a slide scale based on household income, reserved reduce-fee slots each month for active-duty military families, and payment plans with the balance due before your feedback session. Ask when you call - you receive whichever discount is greater.

FAQ

Why don't you take my insurance? Insurance plans often restrict the hours and measures we can use, which limits the quality of the evaluation. Working outside those networks lets us design the evaluation your question actually needs. We'll provide a superbill so you can pursue reimbursement from your plan.

Will my insurance reimburse me? It depends on your plan and the reason for the evaluation. Medically necessary evaluations are sometimes partially reimbursed out-of-network; insurers generally do not reimburse evaluations for educational purposes, such as learning disability testing. We'll give you the documentation to find out.

How do I know which evaluation I need? You don't have to. Your intake paperwork asks what you're hoping to learn and what documentation you need, and we use your answers to send an initial estimate before your appointment. At intake, the doctor confirms the right level, even if that means less testing than you expected.

Do I have to pay a deposit to book? Only if you're private-pay. Patients using Aetna, Medicare, Baylor Scott & White Health Plan, or UnitedHealthcare book with their insurance information and pay no deposit - just your plan's normal copay, coinsurance, and deductible.

When will I know my exact fee? Starting fees and typical totals are listed above. After you book and complete your intake paperwork, we send an initial written estimate. Your exact, all-inclusive fee is determined at your intake appointment and given to you in writing. No testing is scheduled until you've approved it, and your $300 deposit applies toward whatever the total turns out to be.

How long does it take? 4-5 weeks from intake to feedback for most evaluations. An expedited report (7 business days) is available for $300.

Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment? Evaluations reserve several hours exclusively for you, so we ask for 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. For patients that are insured with one of the above plans, a missed appointment or late cancellation is subject to a $200 no-show fee. Insurance does not cover missed appointments. For private-pay patients, cancelling fewer than 5 business days before your appointment, or missing it, forfeits your deposit.
