Adult Evaluations

In-person at our Belton, Texas location or online in all PSYPACT states

Neuropsychological Evaluations for Adults

Maybe your physician recommended "neuropsych testing" and you're not sure what that means. Maybe you have questions about your memory or attention. Either way, you're in the right place. A neuropsychological evaluation is a detailed, evidence-based assessment of thinking that answers a specific question about your mind and turns the answer into practical next steps. Dr. Joy Clark is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologis, seeing adults in person in Belton and by telehealth across PSYPACT states.

What brings you here?

Memory and cognitive concerns, including changes after injury or illness. Worrying forgetfulness, aging and memory questions, MCI, a dementia diagnosis you'd like examined. Cognitive changes after concussion, brain injury, stroke, or medical conditions, coordinated with your physicians. → Memory & Cognitive Evaluations
Attention, focus, and follow-through. Adults wondering about ADHD for the first time; evaluations supporting medication decisions and accommodations. → Adult ADHD Evaluation
Wondering whether you're autistic. Late-identified adults and maskers, assessed through a neurodiversity-affirming lens. Not sure if it's ADHD, autism, or both? Both pages address exactly that. → Adult Autism Assessment
Learning, reading, and testing. Adult learning disorders and documentation for accommodations on professional and graduate exams. → Learning Disability & Accommodations Evaluations
Decision-making capacity. Financial, medical, testamentary, and guardianship-related evaluations for families, physicians, and attorneys. → Forensic Evaluations

What to Expect During an Evaluation

Most adult evaluations begin with an interview, often by secure video, where Dr. Clark discusses your history, concerns, and goals. From there, testing is tailored to your needs and usually scheduled for a separate visit, which keeps you fresh and the testing focused. Some focused adult evaluations can be completed in a single same-day visit. After testing, Dr. Clark prepares a report and meets with you to review the findings in plain language and discuss clear recommendations. You receive a copy of your report.

Ready to start, or still deciding?

Whatever brought you here, the first step is the same: a short interview where Dr. Clark learns about your history and concerns and helps determine the right evaluation for you. You don't need to know which type you need, that's what the interview is for.
